Color: Concrete countertops can be made any color with few restrictions. There can be variation between batches, since many factors are part of the finished product.

Shape: Any shape can be obtained. The shape of each project is unique and limited only by one's imagination.

Size: Any size is possible, however 8' runs or shorter are preferred due to manageability. Longer runs are available at more cost.

Seams: Seams allow for the chance to add unique details and design that is specific to the customer or the project. Two pieces with the same dimensions can look completely different with the use of seams. For example, puzzle seams, inlaid pieces of granite, tile, sentimental items, etc.

Maintenance and Usage
Sealing: Due to the porous nature of concrete, it is necessary to seal the piece. With the new advances in the industry, it is only necessary to seal the piece at the time of production.

Cutting: As with any countertop surface, it is not recommended to cut directly on the surface itself. A cutting board of some kind is necessary. It is possible to have an integrated cutting board built into the countertop surface. It can be removable or permanent.

Hot Temperatures: As with the cutting recommendations, it is not recommended to place extremely hot items directly on the counter surface. The use of potholders and trivets is suggested. Again, this lends a chance to add something decorative to the design. For example: permanent trivets located strategically on a counter, stainless or copper raised bars to set items on, etc.

Waxing: It is recommended that the surface of your countertop be waxed periodically. This is something that the homeowner can do himself or herself. Some people do not wax their countertops but allow them to patina naturally.

Crazing: Crazing may occur over time. This is due to the natural shrinkage of the concrete. These cracks are hairline, and not structural. Also, there have been many advances in the production of concrete countertops that has lead to minimal shrinkage and cracking. Crazing is invisible to the naked eye.
